I have an insatiable curiosity for the question most often asked by my patients…
“Why am I sick?”
My passion for helping people heal by understanding “causes” has grown through constant and continual medical training while actively practicing for 20 years in outpatient clinics and emergency departments, treating everything from acute minor conditions to chronic, complex illness and the critically ill.
I’m proud to have been one of the first certified functional medicine practitioners in Texas in 2015. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education at Baylor University in 1997, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and continued my medical training in Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, graduating in 2004. I have been Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 2005.
